The Farm3 method
Phenotyping center
A 1300 m² site dedicated to plant innovation. Farm3 operates eight phenotyping cubes there, each capable of adjusting up to 80 growth parameters in parallel. These facilities enable agronomic research to be conducted on a wide variety of plants. In the design workshop, the Farm3 teams develop equipment and software tailored to the specific needs of their clients.
AI & machine vision
Developed by Farm3, the PAuL AI analyzes plant needs in real time using an innovative multi-sensor system. It automatically adjusts growing parameters to maximize agronomic performance, improve producer profitability, and optimize resource use, particularly energy.
Production facilities
Design and deployment of cost-effective industrial growing chambers. Each chamber is calibrated according to the specific requirements of the crop being grown, to meet growers' need. For consistent, reliable harvests available year-round.

Our story
In 2019, Romain Schmitt, a biologist, and Lise Alalouf, a graduate in Environmental Sciences, co-founded Farm3 with a simple and radical idea: to put the needs of the plant at the center of technological developments.
From Besançon, in our phenotyping center combining agronomic research and mechatronics workshop, more than twenty specialists - agronomists, mechatronics engineers, data scientists - are driven by the same ambition: to put innovation at the service of the resilience of global plant sectors.
Farm3 made history in the sector by being the first company to master vertical farming of vines.
Since then, expertise has expanded to many other crops: from small fruits to cosmetic plants. Each new crop allows for the development of an innovative machine that meets a specific need: improving quality, resistance, or yield for producers, whether indoors, in greenhouses, or in open fields.
Since its creation, Farm3 has raised more than 4 million euros and is deploying cubes in France and internationally.
